"Julie was incredible to work with! We did an extended family shoot with her, including 6 adults, a sick/unhappy infant, and a very shy 5-year old. A photographer’s nightmare, no doubt, but she worked some kind of magic to get the 5 year old out of his shell (pretty sure there were a few fart jokes mixed in, she knows the way to a 5 year old boy’s heart) and plenty of smiles and giggles out of our infant. She was so helpful in directing and positioning us to make the photos look candid and natural, which was exactly what we wanted, but could never pull off on our own.
We had originally planned for an outside shoot, but the weather had other plans so we made it work in our living room. By the end of shoot the sun started peaking out so she suggested we all dash to a nearby park to get a couple outside photos, and we are soooo grateful for her willingness to pivot so quickly and spend a little extra time with us. She went above and beyond for sure.
The photos are absolutely beautiful, and she was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend working with Julie, especially if you are a little camera shy or feel awkward in front of the camera (like me.) You’ll feel loose and comfortable in no time, and you’ll adore the photos!"
